We define the concept eco holidays as tourism that benefits the local people and their economy, respects different cultures and that that has minimal negative impact on the environment. In our site you will find hundreds of eco friendly holidays, and we have done our very best make sure that we include those which are the most responsible and environmentally friendly of holidays, resorts and destinations that we can find.

We also recognise that travelling by air is a producer of greenhouse gases, and therefore contributes to global warming. However aviation is not the single biggest cause of climate change as it only accounts for approximately 2-5% of Carbon Dioxide emissions.
