Pyramids & Riverboat Cruise
Your discovery of this ancient land begins in Cairo, where you’ll visit the famous Egyptian Museum, home of Tutankhamun’s gold. Next you cross the Nile to see the amazing Pyramids at Giza before taking the overnight train south to Aswan, gateway to Nubia and Africa beyond. In Aswan step aboard your river boat for the classic river journey to Luxor. On the three-night cruise you’ll pass biblical scenes of farmers in flowing robes ploughing fields with oxen and stop to explore the impressive temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo.

Luxor & Cairo
Once in Luxor your journey into history continues with a visit to the legendary Valley of the Kings and a carriage ride to the stunning Karnak Temple. In the evening there’s time for a stroll along the corniche to see the sails of the feluccas silhouetted against the banks of the Nile, or an atmospheric visit to floodlit Luxor Temple (optional). Flying north you’ll return to Cairo for a last day of sightseeing, optional trips or some last-minute shopping and haggling in one of the myriad bazaars.
The Trip
This trip is similar to our adult adventures. Although we don't overload children with too man sites, this is a full itinerary , offering a balance of relaxation and activity. Whilst not luxurious, our riverboat is nonetheless comfortable. Egypt is hot in the summer, which both adults and children can find tiring. Minimum age: 5 years
