The Hotel

This is a unique ecological four star hotel in a unique location: spectacular views to a natural area, golf, next to the picturesque village of El Rompido offering boat access to a 12 km long wild beach. The Hotel is ideal for families, where you will find tranquillity, nature and a great variety of complimentary activities.

Location

Hotel Fuerte el Rompido is located in Costa de la Luz, Andalucia. 10 minutes from a wild beach of 12 km´s, in the middle of the natural park Rio Riedras and Flecha. El Rompido is a typical fishing village. Next to el Rompido Golf course. Just 60 minutes from Faro airport (Portugal).

The rooms are decorated neutrally with subtle lighting. Each room has a balcony, minibar and satellite television. In-room childcare is available on request.
Rooms are offered on a half-board basis including dinner, a full buffet breakfast, and drinks. Food is available at Restaurant el Olivo, serving international dishes, the beach club restaurant grill which serves grilled meat and fish al fresco on the terrace, and a pizzeria

Activities

The hotel Fuerte el Rompido has the same named Golf course and close to the Piedras River Natural Park, with 5 km, paths, ready to be enjoyed during your stay in the hotel. You could visit cultural and touristic places, local handicraft and traditional customs; this is enchanting Andalusian resort, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The landscapes offered by El Rompido invites you to enjoy different activities. There are four sailing clubs along La Flecha ('Asociación Náutica Nuevo Portil', 'Marina del Rompido', 'Asociación Náutica San Miguel' and 'Club Náutico Rio Piedras') offering numerous services such as diving courses, catamaran sailing and sailing or windsurfing. There is also a port at El Rompido for those who like sailing. Adventure sports are also available, such as Kayak tours leaving from El Rompido fishing harbor depart to the mouth of the river and the Atlantic Ocean.
If you enjoy the speed, there is a kart track at the Sports Centre Playas de Cartaya, located along the road Cartaya-El Rompido, where you will be able to test your skills while driving these tiny cars.
