The diversity of Halkidiki’s landscape and history gives each of its three peninsulas their own distinctive characteristics. Kassandra, home of the Anastasia offers superb variety, with idyllic beaches, important archaeology and a friendly welcome. The fantastic beachfront position means that most rooms and all of the public areas are sea facing. Here a small ribbon of sand and pebbles give way to the beautiful clear blue water for which Halkidiki is renowned.

Out and About
Walking - The outstanding beauty of the Kassandra peninsula can be best appreciated on foot. Taking a stroll from the club base you can easily reach the village of Nea Skioni with its harbour and interesting churches. Of particular interest is the Church of the Virgin Mary Phaneromeni (2km from the village), adorned with beautiful 16th century frescoes.
Sithonia - the adjacent peninsula, displays beauty in its villages and rocky coastline, whilst Mount Athos remains a religious haven where monks still dwell in the Byzantine monasteries. Only men are allowed to visit this area and numbers are strictly regulated.
Nea Skioni - is the nearest local village to The Anastasia. It is a typical picturesque Greek village with winding streets and a quayside lined with wooden fishing boats. It can be reached by a 40 minute walk, short bike ride or taxi. On non-inclusive evenings we operate a shuttle bus into the village (small charge).
Other local villages of Hanioti and Pefkohori are accessible by taxi and open up the variety of choice for bars and restaurants. Further afield but equally accessible is the cosmopolitan city of Thessaloniki, which offers an insight into modern bustling Greek life and an opportunity to shop in the city’s boutiques
