Lake Manyara and the Serengeti
Leaving Arusha, you head off into wild Africa and Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its high density of elephants and unusual tree-climbing lions. Continuing west you reach the vast rolling plains of the world’s most renowned wildlife sanctuary – the Serengeti where your safari begins. The game drives allow ample opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife from elephants and giraffes to herds of wildebeest and gazelles.

Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire
Travelling via Olduvai Gorge, where fossilised bone fragments attest to the existence of early man, you head for the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Its dramatic rim wall encloses lush grasslands – home to some 30,000 large mammals including wildebeest, zebra, lion, hyena, cheetah, gazelle and baboon. The setting and sheer abundance of game provide an unforgettable wildlife safari. A trip to Tarangire NP, with its many different types of vegetation completes this classic safari before your return to Arusha and the chance to relax in comfort prior to flying home.

Zanzibar Island Extension 16 days
The rambling alleyways and lively bazaars of Stone Town provide a fascinating contrast to the stunning white-sand beaches of this beautiful island. It’s the perfect place to relax, swim and snorkel. Days 1-8 As main itinerary. 9 Fly to Zanzibar & overnight in Stone Town. 10 Stone Town. 11-14 East Coast beach. 15/16 Fly to London. Price including extension from £2,698.
